Data Protection Declaration

We at European Motorhome Tours are taking protection of your personal data very seriously and strictly observe the regulations provided by data protection legislation, in particular the EU General Data protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data are collected on this website to a technically necessary extent to operate the website or in order to enter and fulfil a contract with you. In no case will collected data be sold or disclosed to any third parties for other reasons.

Your Rights

By contacting the responsible person, you can at all times assert your following statutory rights:

  • Obtaining information about the data we have collected from you and how it is processed
  • Corrections to any inaccurate personal data stored about you
  • Deletion of your personal data stored by us
  • Limitation of data processing in case we are not allowed to delete your personal data due to legal requirements
  • Withdrawing your consent to allow processing of your data by us and
  • Data portability, as long as you have consented to data processing or have entered into a contract with us

If you have consented to data processing by us, you may withdraw your consent to future data processing at any time.

Purpose of Data Processing by the Responsible Party and Third Parties

We only process your personal data for the reasons listed in this Data Protection Declaration. We will not transfer your personal data to third parties other than for the reasons listed. We only provide your personal data to third parties if at least one of the following is true:

  • You have given your consent
  • Processing of the data is necessary to entering into or fulfilling a contract
  • Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation
  • Processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests and when there is no reasonable doubt that the transfer or processing of data to and by third parties conflicts with your fundamental rights and freedoms

Data Processing When Visiting This Website

Our Webhoster Jweiland.net collects and stores on its server automatically log files information transmitted to us by your browser. These are:

  • Browser type / version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • User (in case of pages having htaccess protection)
  • Time and date of the server request.

This data is not attributable to certain persons for Jweiland.net. Any merging of data with other data sources will not take place; data will furthermore be deleted after statistical evaluation.

Cookies

Like many other webpages, we also use “Cookies”. Cookies are small data files which are transferred from a webserver to your hard drive. Consequently, we automatically obtain some data, like your IP-address, browser type, operating system and your internet connection.

We only use so-called Technical Cookies to ensure that the website operates as intended.

We do NOT use so-called Profiling Cookies to analyse the usage of our website or to personalize content.

Cookies cannot be used to execute software or to introduce viruses to your computer. With the information stored within the Cookies we can improve your experience navigating our website and ensure that it is displayed correctly.

Submitting a Reservation Request

When you submit a reservation request through our Website, we collect some personal data from you, like your name, address, contact- and communication data such as phone number and e-mail address. We comply with the principals of data avoidance and data minimization and only such personal data that is absolutely necessary in order to fulfil the contract will be collected. The data collected will only be stored for as long as necessary and permitted within the scope of the contractual agreement and to comply with the applicable legislation.

At any time we will of course inform you about the personal data we store about you. We are happy to correct or delete such data as requested by you as long as such action does not conflict with our legal obligations to maintain such data for certain time periods. To contact us with respect to correcting or deleting your data, please use the contact information provided at the end of the Data Protection Declaration.

Payment Processing

In order to process your payments by credit or debit card we partner with

To process your payment, the amount of the payment, the date and the card details are transferred to Concardis.

The payment data as well as data with respect to credits to your card are only stored as long as it is necessary to process the payment (including credits and debits) and to prevent fraud. In general, the data is deleted at least 13 months after it is collected.

Storage of the data beyond those terms may occur if required by law or as necessary to investigate an actual fraud case. The data is processed pursuant to Art. 6 GDPR, Art.1 (f) of the GDPR.

You can inquire about what data is stored about you, request corrections to such data, request deletion or limitation of data processing or withdraw your consent to data processing. If you have questions with respect to data processing by Concardis or to assert your aforementioned rights, you can contact the Data Protection Office at the address provided or by e-mail at  Datenschutzbeauftragter(at)concardis.com.

You may also file a complaint at the responsible supervisory authority. The responsible supervisory authority depends on your residency, your work or the alleged violation (in Germany at the Landesbeauftragter für Datenschutz). We point out that providing your payment data is not required by law or by contractual agreement. If you do not want to provide such payment data you may use a different method of payment, for example a wire transfer.

Contacting Us

When you contact us in any matter via e-mail or our contact form you voluntarily consent to us contacting you. This requires you to provide a valid e-mail address. This e-mail address is used to relate the request to you and to respond to the request itself. Providing additional data when contacting us is optional. The data provided by you may be stored by us to process your request and to respond to possible follow-up questions.

Deletion or Locking of Data

We comply with the principals of data avoidance and data minimization. We store your personal data only as long as it is required to fulfil purposes laid out in this declaration or as required by various legal regulations with respect to data storage terms. After the purpose has ceased or the terms have expired, the data is routinely being deleted or locked according to legal regulations.  

SSL Encryption

To ensure the protection of your data when submitting our Reservation Request form and for payment processing we use state of the art encryption methods (such as SSL) via HTTPS.

Changes To The Data Protection Declaration

We maintain the right to adjust our Data Protection Declaration in order to ensure compliance with the latest legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services in our Data Protection Declaration, for example when we launch new services. For your future visits to our website the new Data Protection Declaration will apply.
